Tuilefano travels to 2022 Commonwealth Games for Samoa

Houston shot put athlete Tuilefano to represent Samoa in United Kingdom
HOUSTON – Junior thrower Nu'uausala Tuilefano will represent Samoa in the 2022 Commonwealth Games held in Birmingham, United Kingdom from July 28-Aug. 8.
The President and Board of the Samoa Association of Sports and National Olympic Committee announced that Tuilefano will be one of 38 athletes to represent Samoa at the Games.Â
During the 2022 season, Tuilefano was the American Athletic Conference Indoor Champion in the shot put and competed at the Indoor NCAA Championship. She broke a 35-year school record at the beginning of the season and now holds the shot put school record in both indoor and outdoor.Â
The All-American will compete at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham on Aug. 3 in the 12:30 p.m. - 4 p.m. CT session.Â
