ABOUT ANNIE KIM
Kim earned her invitation to the NCAA Regionals as the Cougars' leading competitor throughout the 2021-22 season. She was one of 36 individual participants to be selected for NCAA Regional play at the six sites.
The Seoul native led the team with a 73.47 scoring average and 11 rounds of par or better, including a team season-low 67 in the Second Round of the MountainView Collegiate on March 19.
She enjoyed five Top-25 finishes this year with a season-best fourth-place showing at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark., on Oct. 4-6, 2021.
A two-time member of the American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team, Kim recently opened The American Championships with an even-par 72 and tied for 12th at 225 in her debut at the conference tournament.
She was named to the All-American Athletic Conference Team for the first time in her career earlier this week.
While this is the first time Kim has competed in an NCAA Regional, it is her second postseason appearance. Kim and her Cougar teammates were scheduled to compete at the 2021 NCAA Baton Rouge Regional, but rain forced the cancellation of that event without a shot being played.
Kim is no stranger to Vanderbilt Legends Club. As a freshman during the 2018-19 season, she appeared in three tournaments for the Commodores before transferring to Houston.
