Men's Golf Finishes Play at Colin Montgomerie-HBU Husky Invitational

Hanseung Chang, Drew Murdock represent Cougars as individuals at Augusta Pines Golf Club
SPRING, Texas – University of Houston redshirt freshman Drew Murdock tied for 27th to lead two Cougars competing as individuals at the Colin Montgomerie HBU Husky Invitational on Tuesday afternoon.
Murdock posted a 74 in the Final Round on the 7,031-yard, par-72 course at Augusta Springs Golf Club and finished the 54-hole tournament at 227.
Sophomore Hanseung Chang lowered his score for the second straight round and tied for 51st at 234.
The Colin Montgomerie-HBU Husky Invitational was a recent addition to the Cougars' spring schedule.
Southeastern Louisiana captured the team title with a score of 868 to finish 13 strokes ahead of Gonzaga. Incarnate Word stood in third at 886 with Nicholls and Weber State tying for fourth at 901.
Individually, Southeastern Louisiana's Michael Landry posted his third straight round of 70 and earned medalist honors at 6-under 210. Gonzaga's Charlie Magruder finished second at 213, while Nicholls' Braxton Kuntz finished third at 214.

Following the Colin Montgomerie HBU Husky Invitational, the Cougars will compete at the Louisiana Classics at Oakbourne Country Club in Lafayette, La., on March 14-15 before returning home to play host to Houston's All-American Intercollegiate at Golf Club of Houston in Humble, Texas, on March 21-22.
