Trio of Cougars earn All-American honors at NCAA Championships

Sampy, Tuilefano, Adejokun all earned second All-American honors
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Christyan Sampy, Nu'uausala Tuilefano and Priscilla Adejokun finished their NCAA Championship experience with All-American honors.
On the first day of competition, Adejokun finished 12th with a throw of 21.65m (71-0.5) to earn All-America second team while Sampy finished 13th in the country by clearing a top mark of 5.35m (17-6.5) in the pole vault and became a second-team All-American.
Tuilefano placed 15th in the women's shot put, earning All-America second team with a throw of 15.65m (51-4.25) on Saturday evening.
It was all three athletes first All-American honors in their collegiate careers and the second-straight year the Houston track and field team has sent athletes to the Indoor NCAA Championships.
