Dell Named to Hornung Award Watch List

Sophomore led Houston with 29 receptions for 428 yards in 2020
HOUSTON – University of Houston Football sophomore wide receiver Nathaniel Dell was selected to the 2021 Paul Hornung Award Watch List presented by Texas Roadhouse, the Louisville Sports Commission announced on Thursday.
The Paul Hornung Award, entering in its 12th season, is given annually to the most versatile player in college football.
Dell led Houston in receptions (29) and receiving yards (428) in eight games during the 2020 season. He also ranked second on the team with three touchdown receptions and averaged 25.8 yards per kickoff return.
Dell turned in his best performance of the year in the final game of the 2020 season, finishing with six catches for 112 yards and one touchdown against Hawaii in the New Mexico Bowl.

Players will be added to the Watch List throughout the 2021 regular season based on performance.
The Cougars return 17 starters from last year's squad and open the 2021 season on Sept. 4 inside NRG Stadium for the Texas Kickoff against Texas Tech.
