Houston Volleyball Resumes Summer Camps

HOUSTON – After a year hiatus due to COVID-19, the University of Houston Volleyball program will resume its summer volleyball camps, hosting four skill-based camps and multiple one-day position camps this summer.

Each camp will be held on the 18,000-square-foot practice courts inside the Athletics/Alumni Center. Those interested in signing up can do so by clicking here and chose the respective camp they wish to attend. Below is a list of the various camps Houston Volleyball is offering this summer, along with a brief description of each.

FOUR-DAY SKILLS CAMP 1 (No Overnight)
Dates: July 12-15
Ages: Grades 2^nd through 8^th
Cost: $371.00
Description: The Four-Day All-Skills Camp will focus on all aspects of the game with a strong emphasis on the fundamentals of volleyball. Skill development is emphasized during hours of on-court instruction in the following areas: serving, serve receiving, forearm passing, setting, attacking, blocking, transition & competition. Technique refinement and exposure to tactical aspects of the game will also be covered.

ADVANCED CAMP
Dates: July 16-17
Ages: 8^th Grade or higher
Cost: $339.20
Description: Advanced Camp is geared for the more advanced and skilled volleyball player who wants to train in a competitive/collegiate type environment. This camp is ideal for the highly experienced volleyball player striving to be their best and take their game to the next level. Campers will be grounded based on age and skill level.

Description: The All-Skills Two-Day Camp will focus on all aspects of the game. Emphasis on fundamentals, technique refinement and exposure to the tactical aspects of the game will be covered. Skill development is emphasized during hours of on-court instruction in the following areas: serving, serve-receiving, forearm passing, setting, attacking, blocking, transition and competition.

ONE-DAY POSITION CAMPS
Dates: July 19 (Serving/Passing)
July 20 (Defense/Blocking)
July 21 (Setting/Attacking)
Ages: 4^th through 12^th
Cost: $45 each day
