Houston Set to Compete at Boots Garland Invitational

Cougars head to Baton Rouge for weekend action
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Track & Field program will head to Baton Rouge for the Boots Garland Invitational on the campus of LSU.
Meet action is set to begin at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at Bernie Moore Stadium. The meet schedule can be found by clicking HERE, and results can be accessed HERE. Heat Sheets can be found HERE.
The Cougars will make their first of two trips to Baton Rouge this season when its sends 39 women and 41men to LSU. The Houston men enter the meet ranked at No. 17 in the latest USTFCCCA poll, as the women sit just outside the top-25 at No. 26. Earlier this week, Mikaila Martin earned American Athletic Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week honors for her record-breaking performance in the Hammer Throw at the Texas A&M Invitational.
The meet will feature a highly anticipated matchup between two of the top 4x100-meter relay squads in the country as Houston enters the meet as the NCAA leader in the event with the second-fastest time in the world this season at 38.49.
The meet will feature student-athletes from Lousiana Tech, Loyola, McNeese, Nicholls State, Northwestern State, South Alabama, Southern University, Tulane, UL-Lafayette, UL-Monroe, New Orleans and Xavier.
HOUSTON ATTENDANCE POLICY
Limited tickets for Houston Track & Field will now be sold on a single-game, general admission basis while supplies last. Fans are encouraged to act quickly and purchase advanced single-game tickets prior to their arrival on campus due to limited availability.
All facilities and related spring sporting events will operate at 25 percent capacity of available seating throughout the remainder of the 2021 season.
For fans wishing to attend any of these home events this spring, an exclusive pre-sale ticket offer will be made available to existing season ticket holders and donors prior to the general public on-sale which begins on Monday, March 15 at 9 a.m. CT.
Fans are encouraged to visit UHCougars.com/tickets to purchase available single-game tickets while supplies last.
