Christyan Sampy Tabbed The American Field Athlete of the Week

Sampy earned top finish at Charlie Thomas Invitational
HOUSTON – University of Houston Track & Field sophomore pole vaulter Christyan Sampy was tabbed by The American as the Men's Field Athlete of the Week on Tuesday afternoon.
Sampy earned his second first-place finish of the season on Saturday at the Charlie Thomas Invitational. The sophomore cleared 5.21m (17-1) for his fourth podium finish of the season.
The award marks the first weekly honor of Sampy's career.

Due to limited seating and capacity related to COVID-19 precautions, Houston will not allow fans for the 2021 Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field season.
