HUMBLE, Texas – University of Houston sophomore Karen Fredgaard posted a pair of sub-par scores Monday during the first day of the ICON Invitational and was tied for the first-day lead at 8-under 136.
Fredgaard opened the Cougars' home tournament with a 67 in the First Round thanks to six birdies on her back nine and followed with a 69 in the afternoon session to tie with Oklahoma State's Rina Tatematsu and LSU's Ingrid Lindblad on the 6,247-yard course at Golf Club of Houston.
