Houston Remains Home For H-Town SpeedCity Series Finale

Cougars welcome six teams to Yeoman Fieldhouse
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Track & Field program will compete on Feb. 13 inside Yeoman Fieldhouse in the final installment of the H-Town SpeedCity Series.
The meet is set to begin at 10 a.m. and fans are encouraged to watch the meet via Houston Track & Field Facebook Page. Meet results can be found by clicking HERE. The Meet Schedule and Heat Sheets can be found HERE.
Houston last competed in the Charlie Thomas Invitational in College Station on Feb. 6 securing five top-three finishes.
On the men's side, Triston Gibbons is hoping to continue having a stellar season in the Shot Put, earning the fifth-best mark in program history the last time the Cougars competed at home.
Christyan Sampy is also anticipating climbing in the program record book in Pole Vault after placing first last weekend in College Station and earning The American Field Athlete of the Week honors.
Freshman Shaun Maswanganyi and Christian Hamberlin are expected to have strong outings in the sprints and will highlight the 60-meter and the 200-meter for the Cougars.
On the women's side, Priscilla Adejokun and Nuuausala Tuilefano are set to compete in Shot Put and Weight Throw after strong performances during the second H-Town SpeedCity Series meet. Tuilefano holds the second-best mark in The American this season in the Shot Put, as Adejokun holds the second-best mark this season in The American in the Weight Throw.
Zarie Dumas heads into the weekend with the second-fastest time in the league in the 400-meter after winning the event on Jan. 30.
Naomi Taylor posted a season-best in the 60-meter hurdles the last time she was on the track and she will highlight the event for the Cougars on Saturday.

Due to limited seating and capacity related to COVID-19 precautions, Houston will not allow fans for the 2021 Men's and Women's Indoor Track & Field season.
Fans are encouraged to watch all the Houston Track & Field home meets live on the team's Facebook Page free of charge.
