Georgiades Tabbed All-American

American Athletic Conference Libero of the Year named VolleyballMag.com all-American
HOUSTON – Houston volleyball sophomore libero Kate Georgiades added All-American to her list of accolades in 2021 on Christmas Eve. The recognition marks the second-consecutive year a Cougar volleyball player has been named an All-American by VolleyballMag.com.
VolleyballMag.com tabbed Georgiades a 2021 All-American honorable mention to go along with her AVCA All-Region honorable mention award, American Athletic Conference Libero of the Year award and all-conference first-team selection.
Georgiades had one 40-plus dig match, four 30-plus dig matches, 14 20-plus dig matches, and 31 10-plus dig matches over the 2021 season.
The College Station, Texas native tied for fourth in the nation for digs in a 5-set match (41) and ranked seventh in the nation for digs in a 4-set match (36). The 41-dig performance ranks third all-time in UH history and the 36 digs is a 4-set match school record.
The American Athletic Conference Libero of the Year and All-AAC first-team selection ranks fifth all-time in UH history for digs in a season (663).
