Tune Tabbed Tyler Rose Award Semifinalist

Houston signal caller among 16 semifinalists
HOUSTON – Houston Football quarterback Clayton Tune has been named a semifinalist for the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award, which honors the top Division I offensive player with ties to the state of Texas, the Tyler Chamber and SPORTyler announced Thursday.
Tune is one of 16 semifinalists for the award, which recognizes the top offensive player in Division I football who also exhibits the enduring characteristics that define Earl Campbell: integrity, performance, teamwork, sportsmanship, drive, community, and tenacity.
The junior ranks 13th nationally in completion percentage (69.5), 18th in pass efficiency (159.6) and 18th in passing touchdowns (21). Tune has gone a career-long 166 passes without an interception, a mark that ranks fifth in program history.
The signal caller is 203-of-291 passing for 2,448 yards and 21 touchdowns. Over his past five games, Tune is 110-for-161 with 1,464 passing yards, 14 scores and no interceptions.
Fan voting for the semifinalists round begins Thursday and runs through Sunday, Dec. 12. Visit www.earlcampbellaward.com and vote once daily. Finalists will be announced Tuesday, Dec. 14, and the winner will be recognized Wednesday, Jan. 12.
