Cougars in the NFL: Week 4

HOUSTON – Several former Houston Football student-athletes made key contributions to their respective teams as the NFL season continued last Thursday night.

Matthew Adams, LB | Indianapolis Colts

Adams appeared in 21 special teams' snaps helping the Colts capture their first win of the 2021 season with a 27-17 victory over the Dolphins.

Kyle Allen, QB | Washington Football Team

Allen did not appear in Washington's 34-30 win over Atlanta.

Tyus Bowser, LB | Baltimore Ravens

Bowser appeared in 54 snaps on defense and special teams recording four tackles two of which for loss in Baltimore's 23-7 win over Denver.

Emeke Egbule, LB | Los Angeles Chargers

Did not see action in the Chargers' 28-14 win against Las Vegas.

William Jackson lll, CB | Washington Football Team

Jackson played 74 defensive snaps recording three tackles in Washington's 34-30 comeback win against Atlanta.

Braylon Jones, OL | Dallas Cowboys

Member of the practice squad.

Josh Jones, OL | Arizona Cardinals

For the second straight week, Jones played 100% of the Cardinals offensive snaps, helping Arizona defeat the Rams, 37-20. The Cardinals are now one of two remaining undefeated teams.

Case Keenum, QB | Cleveland Browns

Keenum did not appear in Cleveland's 14-7 win over Minnesota.

Ed Oliver, DL | Buffalo Bills

Oliver played in 23 defensive snaps, recording four tackles, one of which was for loss in Buffalo's 40-0 win over Houston.

Elandon Roberts, LB | Miami Dolphins

Roberts played 55 snaps on defense and special teams recording six tackles in Miami's 27-17 loss to Indianapolis.

Marquez Stevenson, WR | Buffalo Bills

Stevenson continues to rehab an ankle injury that kept him sidelined for the Bills' 40-0 win over the Texans.

Grant Stuard, LB | Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Stuard appeared in 18 special team snaps as the Buccaneers defeated the Patriots 19-17 on Sunday Night Football.

Payton Turner, DE | New Orleans Saints

Turner appeared in 33 snaps on defense and special teams recording one tackle and two QB hits in the Saints' 27-21 overtime loss to the Giants.

Greg Ward Jr., WR | Philadelphia Eagles

For a straight week, Ward hauled in a touchdown in the Eagles' 42-30 loss to the Chiefs.

Brandon Wilson, S | Cincinnati Bengals

Wilson made his first start of the season at safety playing every defensive snap while recording two tackles in the Bengals' 24-21 win over the Jaguars on Thursday night.
