Houston Unveils Spring Volleyball Schedule

Cougars to play 12 home matches
HOUSTON – Coming off its first postseason berth since 2000, the University of Houston Volleyball program and Head Coach David Rehr announced the Cougars' spring schedule on Friday.

With a total of 12 home matches on their slate, the Cougars will begin the season playing their first eight home contests inside the Athletics/Alumni Center. At the conclusion of the men's and women's basketball regular season, the Cougar Volleyball team will move back to the Fertitta Center, where they will close out their home slate.

To kick off the 19-match regular season, Houston will host Rice on Jan. 22, then travel crosstown to face the Owls again on Jan. 24 inside Tudor Fieldhouse. Following that contest, the Cougars return to the Athletics/Alumni Center for three matches, beginning with a doubleheader against Stephen F. Austin on Jan. 28, followed by a matchup with Prairie View A&M on Feb. 4.

After a pair of contests on the road at SMU (Feb. 11-12) to begin American Athletic Conference action, Houston will be back on Cullen Blvd. for a four-match homestand, starting with Tulane (Feb. 18-19). The Cougars will wrap up their homestand with a two-match series, hosting Texas Tech from Feb. 25-26.

From there, Houston will travel north to Oklahoma and face Tulsa for two matchups with the Golden Hurricane from March 5-6. Once the Cougars return home to face Memphis from March 11-12, Houston will welcome Baylor (March 18) and Texas State (March 20) to the Fertitta Center for its final home matches of the season.

The Cougars will close out the regular season with a trip to Wichita State, where Houston will face the Shockers from March 26-27, before traveling to Cincinnati, Ohio, for The American Athletic Conference Championship taking place from April 2-3.
