Ten Named to Phil Steele Preseason All-AAC Team

HOUSTON – Ten Houston football student-athletes were named to Phil Steele's Preseason All-AAC Team as the respected college football author released his annual magazine this week.
Senior Grant Stuard (linebacker) and senior Marquez Stevenson (kick returner) represented Houston on the first team. Stevenson was also selected as a second-team selection at wide receiver, along with graduate student JoVanni Stewart (defensive back) and senior Payton Turner (defensive lineman).
Senior Braylon Jones (offensive line), junior Christian Trahan (tight end), senior Damarion Williams (defensive back) and senior Dalton Witherspoon (kicker) earned third-team recognition.
Senior Deontay Anderson (defensive back) and senior Keith Corbin (wide receiver) were named as fourth-team picks.
