Cougars wrap last set of home matches before road swing
HOUSTON - After dropping the first contest of Saturday's doubleheader to BYU, Houston Tennis responded with a victory over cross-state opponent UTRGV.
MATCH NOTABLES
- Houston dropped the doubles point against BYU and notched the early point versus UTRGV.
- Senior Mimi Kendall-Woseley put Houston on the board after defeating her opponent in singles action, however the Cougars came up short as BYU clinched the victory in a 4-1 decision.
- Freshman Azul Pedemonti secured the clinch over UTRGV after taking down her opponent in the second set.
- BYU owns the all-time series, 3-0.
- Houston owns the all-time series over UTRGV, 8-0.
- The Cougars are now 9-6 on the season.
