Four Cougars Open Season on XFL Rosters

League opens season on Saturday
HOUSTON – Houston Football will be well-represented as the XFL opens its 2020 season starting this Saturday.
Running back Kenneth Farrow (Seattle Dragons) will play in the first game of the relaunched league on Saturday against the DC Defenders. The game will kickoff at 1 p.m. CT on will air on ABC.
Farrow, ended his career fourth on Houston's career rushing yards chart with 2,795 yards and finished second in school history with 34 touchdowns on the ground. He recorded 11 career 100-yard rushing games as a Cougar and was the MVP of the 2015 Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl.
Teammates at Houston, defensive tackle Joey Mbu and linebacker D'Juan Hines have reunited to play for the New York Guardians and will take on the Tampa Vipers on Sunday at 1 p.m. CT on FOX.
Mbu was a 2014 American Athletic Conference First Team selection and competed in the 2014 Reese's Senior Bowl, after making 26 starts as a Cougar. Hines was 2017 American Athletic Conference First Team pick and led Houston with 110 total tackles during his senior season.
The Vipers recently acquired former UH offensive lineman Na'Ty Rodgers on Feb. 1. Rodgers played at Houston from 2016-17, making 19 career starts at right tackle.
TDECU Stadium is also home to the Houston Roughnecks, who open their season on Saturday at 4 p.m. CT against the LA Wildcats. The game will be televised on FOX.
