Cougars set for two days of action in College Station
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Track & Field team will head to College Station for the Charlie Thomas Invitational.
The two-day meet will feature student-athletes from Arkansas, UCF, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, TCU, Washington State and more.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR
On the women's side, Brianne Bethel returns to action in the 200-meter. The senior currently sits 20th nationally in the event after posting a season-best 23.60 in the event at the Red Raider Invitational. Naomi Taylor is currently among the best in the country in the 60-meter hurdles with the 12th-fastest time among collegians this season. Nora Monie continues to have a stellar senior season and will return to action with the 15th-best mark nationally in the Shot Put.
On the men's side Miles Marhofer remains a steady force for the Cougar throwers, breaking the program record in the weight throw three times this season. Travis Collins enters the weekend with the 18th-fastest time in the nation in the 60-meters, as Dayo Akindele has been a steady force for the UH hurdlers with the 15th-fastest time in the event among collegians this season. Antonio Ruiz has added another layer to #HTownSpeedCity, entering the weekend with the 14th-best mark and second-best in program history in the pole vault. The Houston 4x400-meter relay squad ranks 11th nationally in the event and will return to action this weekend.
