Houston will wear decal on helmets, hold moments of silence prior to Fan Appreciation Day, Opening Day
HOUSTON -- The University of Houston Baseball program will remember John, Keri and Alyssa Altobelli throughout the 2020 season.
The Cougars will pay tribute to the family by wearing a decal with each of their initials on their batting helmets.
In addition, Houston will hold a moment of silence prior to Sunday's Fan Appreciation/Baseball Alumni Day as well as 14 seconds of silence on Opening Day (Feb. 14) against Youngstown State.
Wearing No. 14, Altobelli was a two-year letterwinner for the Cougars from 1984 to 1985 and served as an assistant coach in 1987. For more on Altobelli, click HERE.
