Seilheimer Promoted to Assistant AD for Compliance

HOUSTON – Ted Seilheimer, a member of the University of Houston's compliance office since 2016, has been promoted to Assistant Athletics Director, Vice President for Athletics Chris Pezman announced on Monday.
"Since joining our staff four years ago, Ted has been become a valuable resource to our compliance office and our athletics department," Pezman said. "He works tirelessly for our student-athletes and coaching staffs. This a well-deserved promotion for someone who strives each day to improve our athletics department and we're proud to have him on our team."
Seilheimer will continue in his role to help guide the day-to-day operation of Houston's compliance office.
"Ted has been an invaluable member of our department since his arrival at the University of Houston," Senior Associate Athletics Director for Compliance, Academics and Financial Aid Lauren DuBois said. "His constant dedication, willingness to take on new tasks, and true passion for our coaches and student-athletes success is apparent in his work each day. This well-deserved promotion acknowledges his impressive growth in this industry, and I am truly proud to have him on our team."
Seilheimer came to UH after spending five years at Houston Baptist University. In addition to his compliance duties, he also supervised the athletics department's academic monitoring and advising systems and served as the sport administrator for the HBU men's and women's Soccer programs.
He previously practiced law in Houston, focusing primarily on real estate, corporate, and civil litigation.
A Houston native, Seilheimer worked in the University of Texas Athletics Department for four years while earning his bachelor's degree in government with Plan II honors in 2004.
From there, he received his juris doctor degree in 2008 from Notre Dame Law School.
