Lauren DuBois was promoted to Executive Senior Associate Athletics Director for Governance and Regulatory Affairs in September 2025. In this new leadership role, she will help oversee NIL management and execution of the department's revenue sharing agreements and roster management initiatives. She will continue to lead the compliance and certification team while ensuring the department adheres by all state, local, federal and NCAA rules and regulations.
DuBois joined the University of Houston Department in 2012 and served as Senior Associate Athletics Director for Governance and Regulatory Affairs before her 2025 promotion to Executive Senior Associate Athletics Director.
In her previous role she worked as chief compliance officer for the Athletics Department as a member of the executive and senior staffs. She also oversaw the Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Track & Field programs as sport administrator.
DuBois, whose last name is pronounced Dew-Boys, previously served as Senior Associate Athletics Director for Academics, Compliance, and Financial Aid from 2017-2024, Associate Athletics Director for Compliance in from 2015-2017, Assistant Athletics Director for Compliance in 2014-15 and as Director of Compliance from 2012 to 2014.
Prior to joining Houston, DuBois served as Assistant Director for Compliance at the University of Akron from 2008 to 2012. There, she was directly responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day administration of the compliance program for 16 assigned sports.
DuBois graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in political science from Eastern Michigan University in 2006. As an undergraduate, she was captain of both the Track & Field and Cross Country teams.
DuBois earned her juris doctorate from the University of Akron School of Law in 2009.
She and her husband, Jacob, have a daughter, Savannah Grace.
