Standout libero adds depth to Cougars’ strong backrow
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Volleyball program added libero Bryshanna (pronounced Bruh-shawn-UH) Brown to its 2021 roster, Head Coach David Rehr announced Wednesday.

Bryshanna Brown has the potential to be an elite player at this level. She is a lockdown defender that adds great depth to our competitive libero core. Bryshanna is a natural leader and brings a calming presence to the court. We are very excited to have her part of our program.Â

HIGH SCHOOL
Led the O'Conner Panthers to back-to-back 6A State Championship appearances from 2017-18 and a Bi-District Championship in 2019, hoisting a combined 126-29 record in those three years … A two-time All-District honoree, earning unanimous First-Team honors in 2019 … Named the 2019 Helotes Echo Female Athlete of the Year … Back-to-back UIL Regional Champions from 2017-18 … Selected to the 2019 Texas Showdown All-Tournament Team.
