Brooke Morales and Eleonore Hubert to compete as freshmen
HOUSTON – Brooke Morales and Eleonore Hubert recently signed National Letters of Intent and will compete for the Cougars, Head Coach Gerrod Chadwell announced.
Morales will join the Cougars at the semester break in January 2021, while Hubert will play for Houston during the 2020-21 season. Both will compete as freshmen.

ABOUT BROOKE MORALES
Morales comes to Houston following an award-winning career at Boyd High School in McKinney, Texas.
"I am excited about Brooke. It will be good for her to get that experience going in January," Chadwell said. "As we talked to her through the recruiting process, we wanted to get her in and get her acclimated. She is a talented, all-around player with a wonderful family and has enjoyed a strong high school and junior playing career."
In August, Morales won a 3-hole playoff to capture the title at the AAT LPGA Excmption Series and earn a spot in the Volunteers of America Classic beginning Thursday at Old American Golf Club in The Colony, Texas.
Competing for Head Coach Denise Hachtel as a four-year letterwinner, Morales led the Broncos to back-to-back District championships in 2018 and 2019. Leading Boyd High School to the State Championships for the first time, she earned consecutive Top-10 individual finishes in 2018 and 2019.
As a freshman during the 2017-18 season, she led the team in scoring average while leading the Lady Broncos to the UIL State Championships.
Morales was active off the course as well. She was an Academic-All State honoree and performed community service with Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA).

ABOUT ELEONORE HUBERT
Hubert is the latest international star to compete for the Cougars, who have boasted student-athletes from Colombia, Germany, Japan, Mexico, Spain and United Kingdom during the program's young history.
In 2017, she was selected as a member of the French National Team for the first time.
"Eleonore has all the shots, and we are excited to be part of her development," Chadwell said. "She doesn't really have a weakness in her game."
In December 2019, Hubert opened with a 68 on the way to a fourth-place finish at the Evian International & Senior Showcase in Las Vegas.
In October 2019, she lowered her score with each round and finished second in a playoff with a score of 223 at The Evian Junior Championship.
In September 2018, she opened the Grand Prix de Saint Germain with a 72 and finished 10th at 223 and earned a 17th-place finish with a score of 149 at the Girls' British Open Amateur Championship at Ardglass Golf Club in Ireland.
That same year, she finished as a quarterfinalist at the French National Championship after shooting 4-under in the First Round and represented France in the European Young Masters, where she helped lead the team to a fifth-place showing and Top-20 individual finish.
