Â
The Cougars' offense got going early, scoring their first touchdown of the game with a three-play, 56-second scoring drive. Junior wide receiver Bryson Smith caught a 28-yard pass from Tune to give UH an early 7-0 lead. As time winded down in the opening frame, Tune ran for 26 yards and into the end zone for his first rushing score of the day.

Minutes later on the opening drive of the second quarter, Tune once again broke free of the USF defense for a 13-yard rush into the end zone for his second rushing score of the day.
