Cougars in the NFL: Week 9

HOUSTON – With 14 Houston Football alums represented on rosters or practice squads around the league, take a look at how they fared during Week 9 in our NFL update.

Matthew Adams, LB | Indianapolis Colts

Adams made his return from the Injured Reserve, playing in 18 snaps on special teams during the Colts' 24-10 loss to the Ravens. The 6-0, 229-pound linebacker was placed on the team's IR list on September 26.

Kyle Allen, QB | Washington Football Team

Allen completed 5-of-7 passes for 62 yards including a 21-yard pass before exiting the game with an ankle injury in Washington's 23-20 loss to the New York Giants. On the season, Allen has completed 60-of-87 passes for 610 yards and four touchdowns.

Tyus Bowser, LB | Baltimore Ravens

Bowser played 15 snaps as a defensive substitution in Baltimore's 24-10 victory against Indianapolis. On the season, Bowser has contributed 14 tackles, including 10 solo stops, alongside two sacks.

Emeke Egbule, LB | Los Angeles Chargers

Egbule played in six snaps on special teams during the Chargers' 31-26 loss to Las Vegas. The 6-2 linebacker has contributed five tackles, including four solo stops, on the season.

D.J. Hayden, CB | Jacksonville Jaguars

Hayden was placed on the injured reserve (hamstring) Oct 7. The cornerback has contributed 12 tackles four games this season.

William Jackson III, CB | Cincinnati Bengals

Bye week for Cincinnati.

Isaiah Johnson, CB | Las Vegas Raiders

Johnson broke up two consecutive passes in the end zone to clinch the Raiders' 31-26 victory against the Chargers. The cornerback contributed six tackles and played in 50 snaps defensively (63%) and eight on special teams (28%).

Josh Jones, OL | Arizona Cardinals

Jones played in 13 offensive snaps (19%) during Arizona's 34-31 loss to Miami. The first-year offensive tackle has helped the Cardinals pace the NFC with 1,303 rushing yards and rank second with 13 rushing touchdowns.

Case Keenum, QB | Cleveland Browns

Bye week for Cleveland.

Ed Oliver, DT | Buffalo Bills

Oliver started for the Bills against the Seahawks while playing in 39 defensive snaps (60%) and helping Buffalo to a 44-34 victory. The defensive tackle has contributed 14 tackles, including 11 solo stops, this season.

Nick Thurman, DL | New England Patriots

Started at tackle for New England, contributing one tackle while playing in 23 snaps defensively (50%) and five snaps on special teams (19%) during the Patriots' 30-27 win against the Jets. Thurman has totaled five tackles, including three solo stops, across six games this season.

Elandon Roberts, LB | Miami Dolphins

Roberts started at linebacker against Arizona, posting five tackles while playing 50 defensive snaps (72%) and six special teams snaps (21%). Roberts ranks tied for fourth on the team with 33 tackles, including 21 solo stops, on the season.

Greg Ward Jr., WR | Philadelphia Eagles

Bye week for Philadelphia.

Brandon Wilson, S | Cincinnati Bengals

Bye week for Cincinnati.
