Houston Athletics Launches “Step Up for Success” Campaign

HOUSTON – The University of Houston Athletics Department has launched the "Step Up for Success" fundraising campaign.
The goal of this fundraising initiative is to continue to offset the financial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and provide UH student-athletes with an elite experience.
"Our Houston Athletics family has remained committed to supporting our student-athletes," Vice President for Athletics Chris Pezman said. "The COVID-19 pandemic has created a financial impact on all athletics departments across the country. As we have seen before, when times are tough, our Cougar Family comes together to step up and make an impact. A gift to the 'Step Up for Success' Campaign will continue to allow us to provide a transformational experience for our student-athletes."
With its dedicated mission to providing necessary resources for student-athletes, UH Athletics will continue to prioritize nutrition, sports performance, academic and tutoring services and mental health services.
In support of the campaign, an anonymous donor has generously offered to match up to $50,000 in donations to the student-athlete success fund. All donations made will be 100% tax deductible.
Cougar Pride members will earn a bonus of DOUBLE Priority Points for their donation to "Step Up for Success".
