Cougars set to compete in Lubbock and Houston this weekend
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Track & Field team will be on double duty as members of the team will compete at both the Red Raider Invitational and the FasTrak Athletix Collegiate Invitational this weekend.
The Red Raider Invitational will take place on Jan. 24, the FasTrak Athletix Collegiate Invitational will take place on Jan. 25.

WHAT TO WATCH FOR
The Cougars are coming off of stellar performances at the Leonard Hilton Memorial Invitational. Houston closed out the meet with six first-place finishes. Dayo Akindele, Travis Collins, Naomi Taylor, Brianna Bethel, Destiny Lawrence and the men's 4x400-meter relay squad each posted top-20 marks last week. Dayo Akindele closed out the week with American Athletic Conference Male Track Athlete of the Week honors for his conference-leading performance in the men's 60-meter hurdles.
The meet will include nationally ranked teams such as Arkansas and TCU, along with Arizona and Air Force.
