Houston Adds Two to 2020 Roster

Cougars welcome a graduate transfer and early enrollee
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Softball program has added graduate transfer infielder Becca Schulte and freshman pitcher Megan Lee to its 2020 roster, head coach Kristin Vesely announced Thursday. Both are eligible to compete for the Cougars immediately.
"Adding these two players at semester is going to be a huge advantage going into the season," Vesely said. "Megan and Becca are very competitive in nature and are tremendously passionate about the game."Â

Schulte transfers from LSU, where in 2018, she started all 62 games of the Tigers' run to the NCAA Super Regionals. Lee signed with the Cougars during the November 2019 signing period and enrolled the University at the start of the spring semester.

Sat out the 2019 season due to injury … Led the LSU Tigers to NCAA Super Regionals, starting all 62 games in the 2018 campaign … Surpassed the double-digit stolen base mark, swiping 10 bags in 11 attempts … Posted an LSU record 10 assists in a 19-inning showdown with Ole Miss (4/8/18) … Played for Butler Community College (Butler, Kan.), the No. 1 ranked team in the community college polls, where the Grizzlies went 111-5 in her two seasons, which included an 88-game winning streak … Helped lead the team to back-to-back NJCAA National Championships, having been named the 2017 NJCAA Division I Championship MVP … Ended her career with Butler as the school's all-time leader in home runs (42), RBIs (181) and runs scored (157).
