Johnson, Raiders Set for HBO's HARD KNOCKS

Five-episode season to offer inside look at training camp
HOUSTON -- Former University of Houston Football standout corner Isaiah Johnson and the Oakland Raiders are set to debut on HBO's HARD KNOCKS on Tuesday.
The 14th edition of the 18-time Sports Emmy Award winning series will see HBO Sports, NFL Films and the Raiders team up for an unfiltered all-access look at what it takes to make it in the NFL in a five-episode season.
HARD KNOCKS will air for five straight Tuesday nights on HBO with encore plays Wednesday, culminating in the Sept. 3 season finale. HARD KNOCKS will also be available on HBO on Demand, HBO NOW, HBO GO and HBO partners' streaming platforms.

• Episode 2 | Tuesday, Aug. 13, 9-10 p.m. CT
• Episode 3 | Tuesday, Aug. 20, 9-10 p.m. CT

• Episode 5 | Tuesday, Sept. 3, 9-10 p.m. CT
Johnson, who was selected with in the Fourth Round (No. 129 overall) by Oakland in the 2019 NFL Draft, enters his first training camp.
With his selection, Johnson became the first Houston cornerback to be drafted since Howard Wilson (Cleveland Browns, Fourth Round) and Brandon Wilson (Cincinnati Bengals, Sixth Round) were taken in the 2017 Draft.
He was the first Cougar to be taken by the Raiders since cornerback D.J. Hayden was selected in the First Round with the No. 24 pick by the Raiders. Johnson also became the seventh Cougar to be drafted by the Raiders, joining

• Started 10 of 11 games in 2018
• Led Houston with seven pass breakups
• Led all Cougar cornerbacks with 66 tackles, two of which resulted in loss, while picking off two passes and recording one quarterback hurry
• Finished fifth on the team with five special teams tackles
• Competed in 12 games with five starts in 2017
• Finished with 45 tackles, nine pass breakups and two interceptions in 2017
• Began his career as a receiver at Houston but made change to cornerback in 2017
• Before switching to defensive side of the ball, recorded 21 receptions for 208 yards
