Cougar senior sets meet and stadium record
HOUSTON – After claiming his second consecutive conference title in the men's 100-meter dash, senior sprinter Mario Burke earns American Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships Most Outstanding Performance honors for his showing in the men's 100-meter.
The Houston track & field standout continues to rewrite the record books after running a blazing fast wind-aided 9.95 in the 100-meter. The senior cracked the 10-second mark, recording a season best, meet record, and stadium record in the process. Burke concluded the meet with three All-Conference laurels, one individual title and one relay title, helping Houston earns its fourth consecutive team title at The American Outdoor Championships.
