Houston Travels to Play Long Beach State

The Cougars take on the Beach for Spring Break matchup
HOUSTON – The Houston Women's Tennis team are en route to face Long Beach State at 12 p.m. on Thursday, March 14 in Long Beach, California.
Last week, the Cougars played conference rival SMU, dropping a long and hard fought match, 3-4. During the match, Houston got ahead of the Mustangs after falling short with the doubles point. However, at 3-3, the deciding match on Court 2 was lost in a hard-fought three-set match. The Cougars are 1-1 in conference play.
ABOUT THE BEACH
Long Beach welcomes Houston on Thursday with a 8-2 record, falling to the Cal State Fullerton in their last match, 3-4. Freshman Wiktoria Rutkwoska leads the team at Flight 1, holding a 7-4 singles record and 6-4 in doubles.
