NEW ORLEANS – The University of Houston Women's Golf program will tee off its 2019 spring season this weekend when it competes at the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate Championship at English Turn Golf and Country Club.
Hosted by Tulane, the three-day, 54-hole tournament begins with 18 holes Sunday on the 6,239-yard, par-72 course and continues with 18 holes each day through Tuesday. Teams will tee off at 9 a.m., Sunday and Monday with an 8 a.m., start for the Final Round on Tuesday.

TEAM FIELD
The Cougars will compete against No. 1 USC, No. 3 Texas, No. 5 Duke, No. 8 Florida, No. 11 Auburn, No. 14 Arizona State, No. 16 South Carolina, No. 18 Washington, No. 25 Miami (Fla.), No. 27 Michigan State, No. 34 North Carolina, No. 40 UC Davis, NC State, Oklahoma State, SMU, LSU and host Tulane.
THE LINEUP
Under the leadership of 2018 American Athletic Conference Coach of the Year Gerrod Chadwell, the Cougars will be represented by senior All-American Leonie Harm, freshman Hannah Screen, senior Tatiana Pineda, junior Amanda Elich and senior Yuka Kajiki.
Harm has been a steady leader for the Cougars throughout her career. The 2018 American Athletic Conference Player of the Year, she leads the Cougars with a 72.10 scoring average and five rounds of par or better during the 2018-19 season.
She has earned four straight Top-20 finishes to open the year, including a third-place showing at the Jim West Challenge on Oct. 28-29.
An acclaimed international player, Screen stands second on the team with a 72.60 average and four rounds of par or better. The freshman earned a pair of Top-7 finishes during the fall season and shot a career-low 66 in the Second Round of the Battle at the Beach on Nov. 2-4.
UP NEXT
Following the Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate Championship, the Cougars return home to play host to the ICON Invitational at The Woodlands Country Club in Woodlands on Feb. 25-26.
