Houston concludes first week of indoor season with pair of honors
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Track & Field program concludes the first week of Indoor Track & Field action with two American Athletic Conference Track Athlete of the Week honors.

Senior Terence Ware and junior Naomi Taylor were tabbed as The American Track Athletes of the Week.

With the fastest time in the NCAA this season, Taylor earns the first weekly honor for the Cougars this season on the women's side. after clocking a time of 8.31 in the women's 60-meter hurdles at the Texas A&M Reveille Invitational, earning first-place in the event. The award marks Taylor's second weekly honor of her career.

On the men's side, Terence Ware won the 60-meter in College Station with time of 6.80. The time is tied for the 13th-fastest time in the NCAA this season. The award marks the first weekly honor of Ware's career.
