Houston Set for NCAA South Central Region Championship

Cougars continue postseason in Arkansas
HOUSTON – The University of Houston Cross Country team will head to Fayetteville, Ark. for the 2019 NCAA South Central Region Championship on Friday.
ABOUT THE NCAA SOUTH CENTRAL REGION CHAMPIONSHIP
The 2019 South Central Region Championship will take place at Agri Park on the campus of the University of Arkansas. The women's 6K is set to begin at 11 a.m. and will be followed by the men's 10K at noon. Results can be accessed by clicking HERE.
WHAT TO WATCH FOR
On the men's side, Houston sits at eighth in the latest South Central Region rankings after earning an eighth-place team finish at The American Cross Country Championships earlier this month. Devin Vallejo-Bannister and Jemal Wote have paced the Cougars this season, combining for five top-15 finishes this season.
On the women's side, Houston heads into the meet at ninth in the South Central Region. Freshman Darby Gauntt and senior Jahnavi Schneider have anchored the Cougars this season, combining for four top-15 finishes this season.
