
Houston Shuts Out Cincinnati to Close Home Slate

The Cougars blanked the Bearcats 3-0
HOUSTON - Houston closed out its home slate with a victory over Cincinnati in a 3-0 decision, Sunday afternoon at the Carl Lewis Complex.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Houston got on the board halfway through the opening frame, when Desiree Bowen linked with a pass from Jazmin Grant, inside the 24th minute.
- Wrapping up the first half, the Cougars notched one more and extended their lead, when Cassidy Formanek connected with a corner kick from Mia Brascia, inside the 40th minute.
- Houston tallied its final goal when Zionah Browne found a cross from Jazmin Grant, inside the 60th minute.
- Samantha Cude played every minute in-goal for the Cougars, posting two saves.
- This marks the third goal of the season for Desiree Bowen, and the first for Cassidy Formanek and Zionah Browne.
- Houston outshot Cincinnati, 13-8.
- The Cougars tallied two corner kicks on the day.
OTHER NOTABLES
- Houston improves to 5-11-0 on the season.
- Houston is now 3-4-0 at home this season.
- Cincinnati owns the all-time series, 4-2-2.
