Tyler Hancock | Special Teams Analyst
• Tyler Hancock was named a Special Teams Analyst at Houston in January of 2019 after three seasons as special teams quality control at Maryland.
• Prior to his time at Maryland, Hancock spent four seasons at Kentucky. His final two years at UK were as a graduate assistant/video analyst working primarily with the Wildcats' special teams. He spent his first two seasons as defensive quality control and a recruiting assistant for the Wildcats as he worked with the defensive coaches, broke down opponent and self-scout film and organized daily meeting review tapes. He also assisted in on-campus recruiting and built defensive recruiting boards.
• Prior to UK, he served as the quarterbacks coach and co-passing game coordinator at Kentucky Wesleyan College and was the assistant quarterbacks coach for one season at his high school alma mater, Lexington Catholic. He played quarterback for the Knights and was a member of the 2005 state championship team. Hancock earned all-district honors as a senior and holds several school passing records.
Will Weaver | Defensive Analyst
• Will Weaver was named Defensive Analyst at Houston in January of 2019 after one season in a Defensive Quality Control/Linebackers role at Arkansas State.
• The 2018 season saw Arkansas State as one of the toughest defenses in the air, finishing the season 11th nationally in passing defense, allowing only 177.8 passing yards per game.
• Prior to his time at Arkansas State, Weaver spent five seasons as an assistant coach at Northwestern State.
• Under Weaver's tutelage, De'Mard Llorens finished his career in the school's top 10 in all-time rushing. Llorens tied the school single-game rushing touchdown mark as a junior, scoring four times at Nicholls on Halloween 2015. Llorens and Daniel Taylor each had more than 100 carries, becoming the first NSU running back duo to do so since 2009. The 2,130 rushing yards were the most by a Demons team since 2007 (2,139).
• In his first season as the running backs coach, Weaver balanced a stable of talented backs, mixing and matching hard-charging Garrett Atzenweiler and Llorens with big-play threats Taylor and Ronald Green to create a talented, versatile attack. Weaver helped mold his charges into well-rounded backs, as Atzenweiler, Llorens and Taylor all caught double-figure passes and combined for four receiving touchdowns.
• Weaver moved to running backs coach in 2014 after overseeing the tight ends in 2013 as the NSU offense shattered passing records with Southland Conference Newcomer of the Year Zach Adkins at quarterback. Weaver's troops were powerful blockers and reliable receivers who also played a role in the Demons being the least penalized team in Southland Conference competition in 2013.
• He joined Northwestern State after serving on staffs at Southern Mississippi, Alabama-Birmingham and Valdosta State.
• Weaver has worked on both sides of the ball and on special teams already in his coaching career, and was part of a staff that helped his alma mater, Valdosta State, win the 2007 Division II national championship.
• In 2012 under Ellis Johnson at USM, Weaver was a defensive graduate assistant working with the secondary, focusing on the safeties. He also assisted in all special teams game planning.
• In 2011 at UAB, he was an offensive GA working with tight ends and assisted with special teams game planning, coaching punt team, punt block and kickoff return.
• A year earlier with the Blazers, Weaver worked on the defensive side, helping coach the safeties. He began working with the punt and punt block teams.
• He was on the Valdosta State staff in 2007-09, beginning his career working with the linebackers in the national championship season. He worked with punt, kickoff and kickoff return teams.
• In 2008-09, he was an assistant secondary coach and also coached the specialists, helping develop all-conference winners at deep snapper and punter. He coached the safeties in 2008 and the entire secondary in the 2009 spring practice. He also coached all special teams and was the junior varsity head coach and defensive coordinator.
• Weaver was a two-year letterman as a long snapper in 2005-06 at Valdosta State and in 2003-04 at Itawamba (Miss.) Community College.
Morgan Tadlock | On Campus Recruiting Coordinator
• Morgan Tadlock joined the Houston Football program as an On Campus Recruiting Coordinator in January of 2019 after seven seasons with the Clemson Football program, her last two as a football recruiting assistant.
• In her final role at Clemson, Tadlock developed and monitored the Clemson Football recruiting department, assisted in the planning and execution of recruiting events and visits and managed the Tiger Pride program among other responsibilities.
• Tadlock moved into her role after spending the 2016 season as a football recruiting operations intern and the 2012-15 seasons as a student recruiting assistant.
Chris Scott | Recruiting Coordinator – Defense
• Chris Scott was named Recruiting Coordinator for the Defense at Houston in January of 2019 after three seasons at SMU, the last as a defensive quality control analyst after two seasons as a defensive graduate assistant.
• In 2016, Scott helped SMU's defense statistically become one of the 10 most-improved in college football. The Mustangs ranked seventh nationally in interceptions per game, and SMU secondary was responsible for 16 of the 18 picks. Following the season, defensive backs Darrion Millines and Horace Richardson, who each ranked in the top 15 for interceptions in 2016, were named to The American's First Team.
• Scott spent the 2015 season as an assistant coach at Southern University, where he coached cornerbacks.
• He began his career as a corners coach at Irving Nimitz High School (2012) before moving on to Katy Tompkins High School for the 2013-14 seasons as a defensive ends coach and special teams coordinator.
• A TCU alum, Scott was a three-year letterman for the Horned Frogs, playing on two BCS bowl teams, including the Rose Bowl Championship squad in 2010.
