
Hill Tabbed as American Rookie of the Week

Cougar freshman averaged a team-high 12.5 points last week
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Freshman forward Tatyana Hill closed out the third week of conference action averaging a team-high 12.5 points and 4 rebounds, earning American Rookie of the Week honors.
Hill went 4-of-6 from the field, finishing with eight points and four rebounds at Cincinnati. In the Cougars 76-44 win over Tulsa, Hill was one of three Cougars to post a double-digit scoring effort leading all scorers with 17 points and four rebounds. The freshman made it count at the line, connecting on a career-high five free throws.
The award is the first of Hill's career and the first for Houston this season.

Houston will return to action on Wednesday when it faces UCF in a 6 p.m. tip-off on ESPN3, before returning home for an alumni weekend matchup with conference rival SMU, Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Fertitta Center.
