Davis, Triolo Named in Perfect Game's Rankings

Davis No. 2 senior, Triolo No. 69 junior nationally by Perfect Game
HOUSTON -- Senior Joe Davis and junior Jared Triolo were each named in Perfect Game's national ranking of players by respective class entering the 2019 season.
Davis was rated No. 2 in the organization's Top 50 College Seniors, while Triolo named No. 69 in the Top 100 College Juniors.
The pair helped the Cougars capture the 2018 American Athletic Conference regular-season title, the program's fifth title in the last five seasons.
In 2018, Houston finished 38-25 overall, its sixth season with at least 36 wins, and 16-8 in league play to earn an at-large bid to the NCAA Chapel Hill Regional, the program's 22nd all-time NCAA Regional appearance.
JOE DAVIS | No. 2 Senior
• Unanimous selection to The American Preseason All-Conference Team at designated hitter
• Named ABCA/Rawlings Central All-Region First Team and The American Second Team in 2018
• Appeared and started in all 60 games between designated hitter and first base in 2018
• Finished with a .318/.375/.554 slash
• Led The American in RBI (62)
• Led Houston and finished fifth in conference in home runs (13) and sixth in doubles (18)
• Is Houston's all-time career home run (35) and RBI (166) leader
• Won the National Baseball Congress Home Run Derby over summer
JARED TRIOLO | No. 69 Junior
• Unanimous selection to The American Preseason All-Conference Team at third base
• Started all 63 games at third base in 2018
• Finished with a .344/.434/.457 slash
• Led team, ranking third in the American Athletic Conference, with a .344 average.
• Finished second in The American with 85 hits to go along with 11 doubles, one triple, five home runs, 28 RBI and 45 runs scored
• Led Houston with 24 multi-hit games and was second with 17 stolen bases
• Named to the All-Series teams for the Silver Glove Series (Houston vs. Rice) and Don Sanders Cup (Houston vs. Sam Houston State)
• Named a Cape Cod Baseball League All-Star for Bourne Braves over summer
PARKING IN 2019
Gameday parking will be offered in a different capacity than in prior years. Anyone entering Lot 16B (across the street from right field) will be subjected to paying a third party company employed by campus. This lot will no longer be an option for free parking on gamedays. All other lots surrounding the stadium will be free of charge two hours prior to first pitch.
