The reigning Outland Trophy winner and consensus All-American, Oliver totaled 13 tackles in Saturday's 45-27 win at Rice, only one stop shy of his career high. The Houston native tied a career high in tackles for loss, racking up 3.5 to give him 43 for his career in only 26 games.
Oliver, The American's Defensive Player of the Year in 2017, leads all active players nationally with a career average of 1.63 tackles for loss per game. He also added a game-high two quarterback hurries.
The University of Houston will receive $1,000 from The Pacific Club IMPACT Foundation for its general scholarship fund in recognition of Oliver's performance.
