HOUSTON â€" Houston Baseball returns to play at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday when it welcomes Rice to Schroeder Park for the second game of the Silver Glove Series.

HOUSTON HITS
- Houston enters the week with a 19-12 overall record and a 16-4 mark at Schroeder Park.
- The Cougars are coming off a series win over USF and sit atop the league standings at 6-3 through three weekends of play.
- As a team, Houston is hitting .252 with 12 home runs and 51 doubles.
- Leading the way at the plate is sophomore Jared Triolo, hitting .374 with a team-high 46 hits.
- Triolo has reached base in 30 straight games and has a hit in 16 straight.
- Junior Joe Davis (.319) and sophomore Lael Lockhart Jr. (.313) are hitting over the .300 mark with Davis pacing the team with 23 RBI.
- Senior Connor Hollis leads the team with 29 runs scored.
- The Houston pitching staff owns a 3.12 ERA and has four saves in 31 games played.
- The Cougars have fanned 280 hitters and walked just 94, while holding opponents to a .223 average.
- American Pitcher of the Week junior Aaron Fletcher leads the staff with a conference-leading 1.03 ERA and is 4-1 through eight starts. He is coming off 8.0 shutout innings with a career-high 11 strikeouts.

- Rice will play Houston on Tuesday with a 15-19 overall record and a 3-10 mark on the road.
- The Owls are coming off a series win over C-USA foe Old Dominion last weekend.
- Rice is hitting .283 with 19 home runs and 50 doubles.
- The Owls are led by Ford Proctor's .386 average, while Ryan Chandler paces the team with 50 hits.
- As a pitching staff, Rice owns a 4.50 ERA and has fanned 291 hitters and walked 135 in 296.0 innings, while holding opponents to a .259 average.
