Four Women's Golfers Honored

HOUSTON â€" A day after winning the program's second league title in three seasons, four University of Houston Women's Golfers were named to the All-American Athletic Conference Team.
Seniors Megan Thothong, Allie Andersen and Courtney Tibiletti and junior Leonie Harm earned places on the 12-woman postseason squad. Houston led the way with four selections followed by ECU, Memphis and SMU, which had three honorees each.
With four All-Conference awards, the Cougars set a school single-season record. It topped the previous high of three from 2015-16 when Thothong, Raegan Bremer and Yuka Kajiki were honored.
Thothong earned her second All-Conference award (2016), while Harm received postseason recognition for the second straight season. Andersen and Tibiletti enjoyed the first All-Conference honors for their collegiate careers.
The Cougars were joined on the All-Conference Team by Kaeli Jones (UCF), Carley Cox (ECU), Dorthea Forbrigd (ECU), Sydney Colwill (Memphis), Brigitte Dunne (SMU), Faith Summers (SMU) and Taryn Torgerson (Wichita State).

• Ranks second on the team with a 73.45 scoring average and 11 rounds of par or better in 2017-18
• Honored as the American Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week for April 11
• Program's career record holder in tournament titles (2), strokes (9,585), rounds (129), Top-10 finishes (16) and scoring average (74.31)
• Three-time WGCA All-American Scholar and three-time member of American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team

Allie Andersen
• Ranked No. 201 in latest Golfstat individual national rankings
• Has posted a 75.68 scoring average with four rounds of par or better in 2017-18
• Enjoyed back-to-back, season-best sixth-place finishes at The Dickson (Feb. 27) and the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational (March 13-14)
• Opened the Trinity Forest Invitational with a season-low 67 late in the fall season
• Ranks fourth in school history with 75.25 career scoring average
• 2017 WGCA All-American Scholar and member of 2017 American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team
• Two-year letterman at Houston after transferring from Colorado State • The Woodlands, Texas native
Courtney Tibiletti
• 76.45 scoring average with four rounds of par or better in 2017-18
• Enjoyed career-best seventh-place finish at 2018 American Athletic Conference Championships with score of 219
• Ranks fifth in Houston career history with 5,762 strokes and 75 rounds played
• Tied school record with 66 in First Round of 2017 Clover Cup (March 19, 2017)
• 2015 member of American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team
• Four-year letterman
• Huntsville, Texas, native
Leonie Harm
• Ranked No. 37 in latest Golfstat individual national rankings
• Leads Cougars with 72.90 scoring average and 14 rounds of par or better, including four in the 60s, in 2017-18
• Finished fourth at the 2018 American Athletic Conference Championships on Tuesday, her third straight Top-10 finish at the league's postseason tournament thanks to a Final-Round 67
• Fourth student-athlete in program history to compete in 3+ American Athletic Conference Championships during her career
• Finished among the Top-20 leaders in all but one tournament in 2017-18
• Program's career record holder in scoring average (73.12) and Top-20 finishes (21) and holds the Top-2 single-season scoring average marks (72.70 in 2016-17; 72.90 in 2017-18)
• Tied for school-record low round with 66, done three times and most recently in First Round at 2017 American Athletic Conference Championships
• 2017 WGCA All-American Scholar and two -time member of American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team

Following the American Athletic Conference Championships, the Cougars learn their NCAA postseason fate during the NCAA Selection Show at 4:30 p.m., April 25 on the Golf Channel.
