PALM COAST, Fla. -- The 23rd-ranked University of Houston Women's Golf program begins its postseason schedule when it tees off Sunday morning at the American Athletic Conference Championships at Hammock Beach Golf & Spa Resort.
The Cougars will play 18 holes each day through Tuesday on the 6,276-yard, par-72 Conservatory Course.
The winner of the three-day, 54-hole event earns the league's automatic bid to NCAA Regional play.

STARTING LINEUP
Under the leadership of Head Coach Gerrod Chadwell, the Cougars will be represented by senior Megan Thothong, senior Allie Andersen, senior Courtney Tibiletti, sophomore Amanda Elich and junior Leonie Harm.
This season, Harm leads the Cougars with a 73.07 scoring average and 12 rounds of par or better, including three in the 60s. The Gerlingen, Germany, native stands at No. 40 in the latest Golfstat individual rankings.
Thothong stands second on the team with a 73.71 average and nine rounds of par or better. The Dallas native, who is ranked No. 55 nationally by Golfstat, will become the first Cougar in program history to compete in four American Athletic Conference Championships during her career.
Andersen and Tibiletti will be competing in the second American Championships of their Houston careers, while Elich will be making her postseason debut with the Cougars.
FIRST-ROUND PAIRINGS
For Sunday's First Round, the Cougars will compete in groups with student-athletes from No. 47 ECU.
Harm will start the day for the Cougars at 6:30 a.m. (CDT) Sunday with Elich (6:38 a.m.), Tibiletti (6:46 a.m.), Andersen (6:54 a.m.) and Thothong (7:02 a.m.) following.
TEAM FIELD
The Cougars will compete in a 10-team field, featuring No. 47 ECU, Cincinnati, Memphis, SMU, Tulane, Tulsa, UCF, USF and Wichita State.
LAST TIME OUT
In their last tournament, the Cougars tied for second at the Bruzzy Challenge at Maridoe Golf Club on April 2-3 with Thothong finishing third and Harm finishing seventh.
A YEAR AGO
The Cougars finished third at the 2017 American Athletic Conference Championships on the Conservatory Course at Hammock Beach Golf & Spa Resort in Palm Coast, Fla.
Harm opened the tournament with a 66 and posted a score of 4-under 212 to finish third. Thothong finished sixth with a score of 214, while Tibiletti tied for 13th at 220.

Following the American Athletic Conference Championships, the Cougars learn their NCAA postseason fate. The NCAA Selection Show will air live at 4:30 p.m., April 25 on the Golf Channel.
