Cumbie was stellar in his fifth start of 2018, notching his first complete game shutout effort and fifth career complete game, while also tallying his third 10+ strikeout game of the year. He faced just two batters over the game's minimum.

KEY INNINGS
2nd | Houston jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the second inning following a three-hit frame, highlighted by an RBI-single by Nick Slaughter, scoring Jared Triolo, who singled. The one run proved to be enough to help the Cougars to a 1-0 win.
