Houston-WSU Selected for Advocare Texas Kickoff

2019 marks Houston’s second appearance in the Advocare Texas Kickoff
HOUSTON – Houston's 2019 showdown with Washington State has been selected for the 2019 Advocare Texas Kickoff and will shift to NRG Stadium on Friday, Sept. 13, 2019, as announced Tuesday by Houston, Washington State and Lone Star Sports & Entertainment.
The game will be included as part of the 2019 Houston Football season ticket package and will air on ESPN with a time to be determined at a later date.

"We are honored to receive the invitation to participate in the AdvoCare Texas Kickoff," said University of Houston Vice President for Athletics Chris Pezman. "We have fond memories from our last action in the event and look forward to creating more in front of our hometown fans in a primetime nationally-televised game."
Houston fans attending the 2019 game should look forward to an exciting experience as Houston administration has been working hand-in-hand with Lone Star Sports & Entertainment to deliver UH fans the gameday experience expected at TDECU Stadium including a CougaRVillage setup and complimentary parking for qualifying Cougar Pride levels. Specific information related to the fan experience will be released at a later date.
The 2019 edition will mark Houston's second involvement with the game, the first coming in 2016 when Houston knocked off No. 3 Oklahoma, 33-23.
The Houston-Washington State series includes a Houston return trip to Washington State on Sept. 12, 2020.
