At USF, junior guard Corey Davis Jr. posted 15 points to lead the Cougars … Armoni Brooks (14), Rob Gray (11) and Devin Davis (10) all eclipsed double figures, respectively … Houston improved to 2-0 in The American for a third straight season with a 76-63 win against Temple … Junior forward Breaon Brady posted a career-high and game-high 21 points while pulling down nine rebounds in only 18 minutes of action … Brooks recorded his fourth straight game in double-digits with 14 points, while Devin Davis followed with 12 points … For the 13th time in 14 games, the Cougars outrebounded their opponent, posting 42 boards against the Owls' 27 … As the former Hofheinz Pavilion is transformed into the $60-million Fertitta Center, the Cougars will play their 2017-18 home games inside Health & PE Arena on the campus of nearby Texas Southern University.

Against Columbia, Serithia Hawkins led all with a game-high 19 points … Jasmyne Harris just missed a triple-double with 16 points, nine rebounds and nine assists, while Angela Harris added 14 points and Dorian Branch scored 10 … Myyah West and Jasmyne Harris each each had nine rebounds … At SMU, Houston once again had four players eclipse double figures … Jasmyne Harris had a game-high 27 points … West (16), Hawkins (13) and Angela Harris (13) also reached double digits … With the win, the Cougars have 12 victories on the season, matching their total from the 2016-17 season and matching the most for Head Coach Ronald Hughey in his tenure … Houston's 12-3 record, marks the best start since the 2004-05 team started 14-3 in a season that saw the Cougars make the NCAA Tournament.

Freshman forward Jazmin Grant has been called up for the U-20 Jamaican National Team camp Dec. 27-Jan. 3 in Orlando, Fla. … In 2017, Grant finished second on the team in goals (5), assists (5) and points (15) … She was named to The American All-Rookie Team at the conclusion of the regular season.
