HOUSTON -- Fresh off an American Athletic Conference series win at Memphis, the University of Houston Softball team will close out its six-game road swing with a Tuesday trip to UT Arlington for a doubleheader. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m. at Allan Saxe Field.

SINGLES
• Houston went 2-2 on the road last week. The Cougars dropped a 5-4 heartbreaker at McNeese in eight innings before bouncing back with a 2-1 series win at Memphis. Houston fell 6-5 in the series opener but closed out the series with 7-3 and 8-2 wins to pick up its fourth series win of the season and strengthen its grip on second place in The American.
• In the 12th week of the regular season, senior Shelby Miller posted a .600/1.000/.563 slash with four multi-hit and four-multi-RBI games with all contests coming on the road. For the week, the native of Sweeny, Texas, went 9-for-15 at the plate with a double, triple and home run. She recorded nine RBI and five runs scored.
• On the season, Houston leads The American in batting average (.300) and on base percentage (.378), ranking second in slugging percentage (.433), home runs (33), RBI (217) and runs scored (244).
• Individually, sophomore Maya Thomas ranks second in The American with a .422 batting average, while senior Shelby Miller (.387) and freshman Arielle James (.365) ranks fourth and ninth, respectively. James leads all freshmen in batting average. Miller leads The American in slugging percentage (.676) and RBI (51).
• In the circle, sophomore Savannah Heebner leads the team with an 12-9 record and 2.24 ERA. Heebner's 12 wins and ERA both rank fourth in The American. Freshman Trystan Melancon is 11-7 with a 2.98 ERA. Sophomore Presley Bell is 2-5 with a 3.60 ERA and two saves. Bell has 14 appearances in relief and six starts. Freshman Hannah Wolfe carries a 3.32 ERA though eight relief appearances.
• Houston leads UTA, 7-4, in the all-time series and is 3-2 in visits to Arlington, Texas. Tuesday's doubleheader is the first meeting between the two teams since 2007.
