HOUSTON -- Winners of three straight and four of its last five, the University of Houston Softball team will continue its current homestand with a 5:30 p.m. first pitch against Georgetown on Tuesday at Cougar Softball Stadium.

SINGLES
• The Cougars are coming off a 3-0 week. Houston knocked off previously unbeaten No. 5/5 Texas A&M, 1-0, on Wednesday and followed with a 14-1 run rule over Princeton in five innings and 6-5 walk off against Sam Houston State in the Houston Hilton Plaza Classic on Friday. The Cougars' Saturday and Sunday games with Louisiana-Monroe and SHSU were cancelled due to inclement weather. Saturday's game with rv/rv Wisconsin was ruled a no contest after being halted in the bottom of the fourth inning.
• Sophomore Savannah Heebner was named the American Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week on Monday. In the fourth week of the regular season, Heebner posted a 2-0 record and 2.00 ERA behind two complete games in wins at No. 5/5 Texas A&M, 1-0, and against Sam Houston State, 6-5, in the Houston Hilton Plaza Classic.

• Redshirt sophomore Sarah Barker led Houston at the plate with a .571/1.429/700 slash, going 4-for-7 with two home runs, four RBI and four runs scored last week.
• On the season, Houston leads The American in batting average (.297), while ranking second in slugging percentage (.466), on base percentage (.384), hits (148), triples (5), home runs (19), walks (61), RBI (100) and runs scored (107).
• Three Cougars lead The American in separate hitting categories. Sophomore Maya Thomas is tied for the league lead with a .500 batting average, while freshman Arielle James leads the conference with 28 hits. Senior Shelby Miller leads the American with 27 RBI, ranking fourth in the NCAA.
• In the circle, sophomore Savannah Heebner leads the Houston staff with a 4-3 record and 2.77 ERA. Freshman Trystan Melancon is 3-5 on the season, while sophomore Presley Bell is 2-2. Freshman Hannah Wolfe has made six appearances in relief.
• Tuesday's game with Georgetown marks the first meeting between the two programs on the diamond.
