HOUSTON -- Houston Baseball was held to just five hits as No. 7 Cal State Fullerton evened the weekend series with a 4-1 win over the Cougars on Saturday at Schroeder Park.
With the loss, the Cougars fell to 7-3 on the year, while the Titans improved to 5-4 with the win.
Houston earned a 7-4 win over Cal State Fullerton on Friday to open the three-game set.

HOUSTON NOTES
- Sophomore Joe Davis plated the Cougars' lone run on a sacrifice fly in the ninth.
- Connor Wong singled and has now reached base in all 10 games this season.
- Six freshmen saw action on Saturday, including a first career appearance by Wendell Champion II.

Starter Mitch Ullom tossed 6.1 innings, allowing four runs on nine hits and a walk with six strikeouts, one strikeout shy of his career-best, but suffered the loss -- falling to 1-1 on the year.
Freshman reliever Brayson Hurdsman made his third appearance out of the bullpen this season, tossing 2.2 shutout innings, allowing one hit and one walk with two strikeouts.
KEY INNINGS
Cal State Fullerton scored an early run in the second and never looked back as it went on to plate another run in the fourth on two hits and a pair of runs in the seventh following two hits and a free pass to make it a 4-0 game.
9th | Houston scored its only run of the game with two outs in the ninth when Davis drove in Wong on a sacrifice fly. Wong led off the inning with an infield single, stole second and took third on a wild pitch.
