Houston Baseball would like to encourage its social media fans on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, to participate in its annual 12 Days of Houston Baseball Holiday Contest, which will begin on Wednesday, Dec. 13, and run until Sunday, Dec. 24 ... The 12 Days of Baseball Contest will allow Social Media Fans on the Cougars' Facebook fan page (UHCougarBB), Twitter page (@UHCougarBB) and Instagram account (@UHCougarBB) to participate and have the chance to win prizes over the 12-day period ... The 2018 Season Ticket Renewal Deadline is Monday, Dec. 11, at 5 p.m.

Houston is receiving eight votes in the USA Today Coaches Poll and three in the AP Top 25 ... Against Fairfield, senior guard Rob Gray led all player with 20 points ... It was Gray's fourth 20-point game of the season and the 29th of his overall career, and marked his 38th consecutive game with 10+ points ... Junior guard Corey Davis posted 16 points with five 3-pointers, his third time to score at least 14 points in the last four games ... Junior forward Breaon Brady and senior guard Wes VanBeck posted 10 points apiece, while senior forward Devin Davis added 11 points with a game-high nine rebounds ... At Saint Louis, Gray finished a perfect 13-for-13 at the free throw line and led all 24 points ... Davis finished 17 points ... For his efforts, Gray was named to The American Weekly Honor Roll ... Fans can purchase Reserved season tickets for $200, while General Admission tickets are available for only $100 at uhcougars.com/tickets ... As the former Hofheinz Pavilion is transformed into the $60-million Fertitta Center, the Cougars will play their 2017-18 home games inside Health & PE Arena on the campus of nearby Texas Southern University.

Houston never trailed and was highlighted by a 28-point, 10-rebound performance from sophomore guard Jasmyne Harris, her third double-double of the season and fifth of her career ... For her efforts, Harris was named to The American Weekly Honor Roll ... The Cougars' 88 points are the most scored in a contest since a 90-84 victory in overtime against Tulane on March 5, 2011 ... The 88 points are also the most scored in regulation since Dec. 30, 2010, when they defeated McNeese, 93-63 ... Houston's six-game winning streak is the longest for the program since winning winning 17 straight from Jan. 6-March 10, 2011 ... The 19-point victory was the largest margin of victory under Head Coach Ronald Hughey ... Houston had previously won by 18 under Hughey three times, with the most recent contest coming in a 63-45 victory over SMU on Jan. 3, 2015 ... Sophomore Angela Harris made a pair of 3-point baskets in the game, giving her 77 in her young career and moving her into 13th on the all-time Houston 3-pointers made list, passing Twiggy McIntyre (75; 2007-08) and Tanda Rucker (76; 1994-96) ... Jasmyne Harris connected on three 3-point buckets to move her into 18th on the all-time Houston 3-pointers made list, passing Jessieka Palmer (63; 2010-16) ... Junior Serithia Hawkins scored 10 points in the contest, and her sixth point of the night gave her 600 in her career.

#HTownTakeover sophomore defensive tackle Ed Oliver claimed one of the top honors in college football Thursday night as he was named the winner of the 2017 Outland Trophy, presented annually to the nation's top interior lineman by the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) ... In addition to winning the Outland Trophy, Oliver was also named a Walter Camp First Team All-American, Houston's first such honor since Andre Ware earned the honor in 1989 ... Also The American Athletic Conference's Defensive Player of the Year and a finalist for the Nagurski Trophy, Oliver is Houston's third major award winner following in the footsteps of Ware, the 1989 Heisman Trophy winner, and 1976 Lombardi Trophy winner Wilson Whitley ... The Cougars announced their participation in 2017 Hawai'i Bowl on Dec. 3 ... Houston will play Fresno State on Sunday, Dec. 24, kicking off at 7:30 p.m. CT ... The bowl marks Houston's 11th bowl appearance in the last 13 seasons and its fifth straight bowl appearance, the second-longest active streak in The American and only the second time the Houston program has accomplished the feat.
SOCCER

Senior forward Hannah Dauzat became the Houston Soccer program's first CoSIDA Academic All-American, as announced by CoSIDA on Thursday.
Notes
Dauzat closed out a decorated career at Houston where she posted 10 goals and four assists ... The senior was the second-leading goal scorer on the squad during the 2017 season after posting six goals to go along with two assists.
SWIMMING & DIVING
Notes
The University of Houston Swimming & Diving team is receiving votes in the latest TYR/CSCAA Rankings ... This marks the first time under Head Coach Ryan Wochomurka that the Cougars have received votes in the national rankings ... Houston closed out November with a pair of dual meet wins and a convincing victory at the Phill Hansel Invitational.
TRACK & FIELD
Last Week
The Houston Cougar Men's and Women's Track & Field teams opened the 2017-18 indoor season with four individual titles and 14 top-3 finishes at the Texas A&M Reveille Invitational on Saturday, in College Station, Texas.

Junior Amere Lattin claimed Houston's first victory of the season in the men's 60-meter hurdles ... Lattin crossed the line in 7.98 to take first in the event, a time which time ranks him ranks eighth in the nation in the early season ... Junior Mario Burke made his season debut with a win in the 60-meter dash ... Burke crossed the line in 6.76, which ranks tied for seventh in the nation, while junior John Lewis III ran 6.87 to finish seventh overall and fourth among collegiate competitors ... Junior Jacarias Martin picked up Houston's third Reveille Invitational title of the afternoon in the 200-meter dash ... Martin went one full lap around the track in 21.30, which ranks second nationally ... Junior Felipe Valencia made his return to the ring after redshirting throughout the 2016-17 season to win the shotput with a top mark of 59-4.25 (18.09m), while senior Cameron Cornelius used his final throw to register a best of 57-9.50 (17.61) to finish second ...
