HOUSTON â€" Justin Chang joins the Houston Volleyball coaching staff as volunteer assistant coach for the 2016-17 season, announced Head Coach Kaddie Platt on Wednesday morning.
"Justin Chang is much needed addition to our coaching staff," Platt said. "He wants to learn about all aspects of college coaching and has both playing and coaching experience that will serve the program. We are excited about adding Justin to the coaching staff."
Chang's primary responsibilities will be assisting with training of defensive specialists, but will be involved in all aspects of the Cougars' training.
"I am excited for this opportunity to learn from Coach Platt and her staff," Chang said. "I am impressed by the values they uphold and their dedication to developing athletes' character. I look forward to working with the UH program this upcoming season."
Currently, Chang served as an assistant coach for the Houston Skyline Juniors. He was also a team manager and practice player for the Baylor Volleyball team while obtaining his degree from Baylor.
